If you are looking for meaningful lyrics, you may request permission to use selected lyrics from my catalog.
You may create your own tune, melody, arrangement, instrumentation, and recording around the lyrics.
This means your version does not need to sound like my version. You are free to make the music your own,
while keeping the lyrics and their meaning substantially intact.
Simple Conditions
You must request permission before publicly releasing, recording, or performing the lyrics.
Permission will almost always be granted for respectful and appropriate projects. Requiring permission also helps me answer questions and avoid confusion regarding which lyrics are currently available for use.
You must credit Ana Haona as the lyric writer wherever reasonably possible, including uploads, recordings, descriptions, and live performances.
You may create your own tune, melody, arrangement, instrumentation, and recording around the lyrics. You may also use one of my existing tunes for the song, which would generally make your version a cover of my musical arrangement.
Minor lyric adjustments are allowed when reasonably necessary for rhythm, phrasing, melody, vocal flow, or song structure.
Major rewrites or changes that substantially alter the meaning, themes, or overall lyrical content require additional permission.
I may share or stream approved recordings on my websites, streams, and other related projects. If you would like additional details about where your recording may appear, feel free to contact me. In most cases, these uses are intended to help promote both your recording and my lyrical work through additional exposure.
You may upload, distribute, perform, monetize, and publish your recording on platforms including Spotify, YouTube, live performances, and other services of your choosing.
You retain ownership of your recording, arrangement, performance, and unique instrumentation. I only ask for permission to use a copy of the recording for the purposes listed above.
You keep 100% of the revenue generated from your recording, and I do not currently collect royalties from approved uses of the lyrics.
Who Owns What?
The original lyrics remain my copyrighted work.
Your original music, performance, arrangement, and recording can remain yours.
The goal is simple: I provide lyrics, you bring them to life in your own musical style,
and both sides receive proper credit.
Commissioned and Private Lyrics
Not every lyric I write is available for public use. Some lyrics may be reserved for private,
commissioned, or exclusive projects.
Requiring permission helps avoid confusion and makes clear which lyrics are available for adaptation.
